How does SkyBoard work and what are the differences between the version 320 and S320 ?
SkyBoard is one of the biggest mobile billboards ever made. SkyBoard is based on a semi-trailer, can be transported easily and installed quickly on open spaces when and wherever you need it. Once installed at any location SkyBoard erects itself automatically in only a few minutes and to lift up the giant banners it takes approx. 2 minutes (opening up effect). Comprising two illuminated surfaces for giant banners with a total advertising space of 320 sqm./ almost 3.500 sq. ft. (two banners, 160 sqm. each), SkyBoard is particularly suited for advertising at trade shows, opening ceremonies, market entry events, exhibitions, concerts, sport events, road shows and other events of every nature.
The basic version SkyBoard 320 is used to display two giant banners at any location and time whereas SkyBoard S320 additionally is provided with an automatic unfolding double stage (approx. 30 sqm. on each side) especially for the use at events with orators, bands or at other outdoor events which require a stage. Both versions are available with optional features as automatic levelling system to build it up even faster and SMS/GPS control device.

What is the overall weight of SkyBoard ?
The total weight of SkyBoard 320 (basic version) is approx. 20 metric tons without truck and of SkyBoard S320 25 metric tons without truck.

How much must the ground bear to use SkyBoard at a site ?
By using SkyBoard 320 the ground must bear concentrated loads fromof approx. 5.000 kg up to 10.000 kg.. In case of SkyBoard S320 the concentrated loads are approx. 6.500 kg up to 13.000 kg.

What is the electrical for the SkyBoard ?
Is there a generator or do we have to run a power supply line to erect SkyBoard ?
SkyBoard is provided with a power generator, fuel: diesel. By using the internal power supply together with the batteries you can erect and illuminate SkyBoard without any power supply line. The tank capacity is enough to illuminate both sides of SkyBoard for approx. 36 hours. The voltage of the whole system will be according to the technical standard of trucks in your country. To spare the generator we advise the use of an external power supply if available at the location.

What are the safety devices of SkyBoard ?

SkyBoard is equipped with many safety devices as emergency stop, wind sensors, automatic shut-down in case of higher wind forces to avoid any danger for the operators, people and traffic in the proximity. SkyBoard is provided with CE-marking and the whole construction is according to the technical norms and the provisions of law.

How big are the banners? What is the live area of the print ?
The banner size and live area for both SkyBoard versions is: 12 m (39.37 ft) width x 13,10 m (42.98 ft) height).

What kind banner material can be installed on SkyBoard and in which way the banners must be manufactured ?
SkyBoard is for the use of planar PVC banners up to 550 gr. (19 oz.) per sqm. Also other materials can be used on SkyBoard depending on the field of operation, for example a screen material for the projection of laser-shows, movies or slide shows.
The giant banners are produced with perimetric eyelets for the installation.
How many people does it take to run SkyBoard ?
The best is to install the banners with two persons. For transport, positioning and to erect SkyBoard you need only one person. That means for example if you realize a road show at several locations with the same banners you have to install the banners once with two persons and the road show could be realized by one person.  

How long does it take to install the banners ?
Can I install the banners on the site or do I have to install before ?
It takes approx. 20 minutes to install a banner on one side of SkyBoard. There is no need to install the banners indoor and you also can do this at the location. For some events, such as road shows or other special events, we recommend installing the banners before going to the location and so you can display the giant banners quickly within 20 minutes. To hoist the banners it takes about 2 minutes (opening up effect). Once installed the banners you can leave them on SkyBoard and if you change the location you only have to put the trailer in the right position and the display of banners will start in short time.

How to install the banners on SkyBoard ?
The banners are provided with perimetric eyelets and have to been installed at the top with hooks and a steel cable and at the sides and the bottom with elastic ropes.

Will there be any training course when I buy a SkyBoard ?
Yes, your technical stuff will have a training course of 2 days at our production site or alternatively at the place of delivery. The training is for free, journey and accommodation at customer’s costs.
Furthermore every SkyBoard owner will get the Operational and Maintenance Manual with detailed description and instruction how to use SkyBoard.

Have you had any major problems with SkyBoard , if so what were they ?
SkyBoard is an extremely durable advertising trailer and based on our experiences the few technical problems which could appear are mostly easy to solve, as for example leaky hydraulic system or blown fuses. To guarantee the function of SkyBoard it is important to fulfil the maintenance service intervals (as lubrication, check of the electrical and hydraulic systems….) set out in the Operational and Maintenance Manual.

What kind of service plan do you have ?
All moving devices of the trailer, as the hydraulic cylinders, chain reels, gliding bars, have to be lubricated after 3 times using SkyBoard. Before every assembly of SkyBoard the whole technical system has to be checked. A detailed service plan is also set out in the Operational and Maintenance Manual.

SkyBoard requires any special permits or licenses to operate ?
In Europe Skyboard can work with the CE-marking and the Operational Manual. The Driver needs a license to drive trucks with towed trailers up to 35 metric tons. For the use on private locations normally there is no need of any permits from authorities, but if you want to display banners on public locations you should contact the competent authorities. Contact your local driver license department and other relevant authorities to find out the details in your country or state.

How can we confirm that SkyBoard will be compatible with our trucks, legal requirements and safety standards ?
Our SkyBoards are manufactured in accordance to the European norms and requirements for vehicles. For the use outside Europe, for example in the USA, we manufacture the units according to the technical requirements and provisions of law in cooperation with the respective authorities in your country.

What are the rates to rent a truck and
how much does driver and operator are charging ?
We just can give you an idea of these costs at the base of our experiences in Europe. The truck rent shall be € 250,- up to € 350,- per day. Driver and operator are charging about € 20-30,- per hour. If you don’t have to change the location of SkyBoard during an event we recommend to rent the truck only for the transport to and from the location. The best solution for the service is that the driver is also the operator.

What is the estimate annual cost for insurance for a SkyBoard ?
SkyBoard needs a vehicle insurance which costs in Europe approx. € 1.000,- and covers damages up to 50-100 million Euro. Please ask the competent authorities and insurances of your country or state to get detailed information about the requirements and costs in your country.

Does SkyBoard have a warranty ?
SkyBoard is delivered with 1 Year Warranty.
